Fall 2026 Program Update

Hello everyone. I know that people are patiently waiting for me to put out my Fall 2026 Power Skating Camp information and I was very close this weekend and then had a team change a couple of dates.

Also, I am in a bit of an ice time crunch and was only to acquire 3 hours of morning ice per week to work with. I have team and Association commitments to make sure I look after and because of that, I have very little wiggle room to have full blown, 12 skater power skating sessions. What I endeavor to do with the ice I have is run highly intense and focused sessions with 6-8 skaters and AJ and myself on the ice instructing. This will give me a 3:1 coach ratio and allow us to emphasize areas that really need the work. Breaking down skills and reteaching them the way I did 5 or 6 years ago, instead of running generalized 12 skater camps with a set curriculum that only scratches the surface, when dealing with and correcting basic fundamental skating issues.

I have yet to sort out the details of those sessions, but they will be capped at 6 and have a very narrow age and skill range so that everyone on the session doesn't feel held back or as if they are holding others back. The small numbers will allow us to do single skater drills and spend time 1:1 with each and every skater, every single session. I hope to have those details out later this week.

If you are still interested in a general Power Skating Camp environment, I coach Church Athletics Kingston's Power Skating Programs on Sunday afternoons at 1, 2 and 3:00pm for U11, U13 and U15 groups. Again, this is a very good program but the session cap is 25-ish, so it wouldn't be as focused as the 6 skater sessions, but still an option.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO REGISTER FOR THESE SESSIONS, (EVEN IF YOU AREN'T A MEMBER OF THE CAL) PLEASE REACH OUT TO THEIR OFFICE OR PRINT, FILL OUT AND DROP OFF THE PDF REGISTRATION FORM LOCATED ON THIER WEBSITE. (please note that you will have to put POWER SKATING ONLY! across the top of the form, if you are not a CAL member, so they do not add you to the organization.

I WILL BE POSTING ALL UPDATES TOP THE 6 SKATER, SEMI-PRIVATE SESSIONS HERE
